PrimePutt Putting Mat Review: The Best Indoor Mat in Golf?
If you want to shoot lower scores fast, you need to improve your putting... fast! This is why putting is the third pillar of playing wicked smart golf.
Specifically, improving your 3-6 foot range, as it's the "lowest hanging fruit" in golf and something to work on at home. After testing out nearly every putting mat in the game, I want to share my review of the PrimePutt putting mat.
PrimePutt Putting Mat Review
PrimePutt is not your ordinary putting mat. The second I took it out of the box, I was impressed with the tour grade material. It's heavy duty grass-like material, not a green piece of carpet like most putting mats. Pretty quickly, I understood why it's the only tour endorsed putting mat, as it rolled like a real putting green.
Pros
- Looks amazing.
- Pretty easy to transport.
- Easy to store when not in use.
- Works with various training aids.
- Can roll up with ease and not crease.
- High-quality design that is built to last.
- Can use indoors or outdoors (always store when not in use).
- Four sizes for all types of spaces (office, business, home, etc.).
- 9-11 green speed on the Stimpmeter, very similar to most golf courses.
- The cups are just like a normal hole on the putting green (and allow for three balls at once).
Cons
- No ball return like some mats.
- Doesn't allow you to practice breaking putts.
- One of the most expensive mats on the market.
- Even though I got the 3x9, the longest putt is about 7-feet due to the design.
